Married 29 years to George "Tank" Barnette. Lived on Folly Beach 12 years and James Island 17 years. Attend Saint James Church on James Island.
Serve on three Boards in Community. Cooper River Bridge Run, 7 years. Saint James Day School, 3 years, Saint James Vestry, 2 years.
Background in Professional Basketball, Minnesota Fillies, 1978-82; College Athletics, College of Charleston Assistant Women's Volleyball and Basketball Coach, 1982-84; Head Women's Basketball Coach, 1985-94.
Began teaching primarily activity courses 17 years ago at CofC in 1995. Promoted to Senior Instructor 2001.
